The Maine Event

From: Brian, Ryan & Lori (bconnoll@marksonrosenthal.com) | Date: 2003-08-11 17:32:31 UTC
The Maine Event was an incredible success.
We were especially impressed with the enthusiasm and creativity
of the Mainiacs (is it ok to call you that?) in hiding boxes,
carving stamps that go with the theme - (Phyto - we got a kick
out of "Bug Light" and "Spring Point") and putting together
a fun Event. Phynstar and Sealights -had us running all over the park
trying to beat each other on a scavenger hunt that made me think of
the movie "It's a Mad, Mad World". Mr. Sealights cooked some burgers
and dogs on the grill.
We met a lot of new people and had fun with some friends we knew
from other events.
Wanda and I (Lori) even put on our swim suits and went for a "swim"
but in low tide, it was more like a mud walk.
After the Event, we went to find a nearby box with Wanda, Sadie & Russ

On our way to Maine on Friday, we were able to snag the ever elusive
"South Portland Head Light" - Leger de Maine box (our third time
looking for it).

On Sunday, We met the Pepe's to find as many Phyto boxes as we could.
While out, we bumped into Music Women and True Soccer Fan which was
great cuz with all the madness at the event, we didn't have much time
to chat.

All in all, we were able to find 27 boxes (we searched for 28 but
Lavender was missing - Glad to hear it that it has been found and is
enjoying a new adventure)

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Maine Event

Now the Wendell Gathering this weekend......
